About me

I am a PhD candidate in Northwestern University’s Political Science program and incoming Assistant Professor of American Politics at Swarthmore College. My research examines the intersection of law and public policy in the American system, with a focus on Supreme Court authority, policy development, and party strategy. My dissertation project is financially supported by an APSA Doctoral Dissertation Improvement Grant and by the Graduate School at Northwestern University.

In the Spring of 2022, I served as instructor of record for “The Politics of the Modern Supreme Court: Rehnquist to Roberts”, a first-year seminar. Previously, I have served as a teaching assistant in Constitutional Law I, The American Presidency, and Dilemmas of American Power.

My website includes my CV and more information about my research and teaching.

Outside of academia, I enjoy walking my dog (Obie), watching sports, playing chess, and cooking.
